Sliding Bead Rosary
I came up with this sliding bead rosary design out of my momma-desperation. Our four year old and seven year old were struggling to participate in our daily family rosary. I knew there had to be a way for me to keep them engaged while we prayed. I tried giving each of them their own rosary that they designed. No, that didn't work. They still didn't pay attention. So, one day, I started thinking about a set of St. Therese Sacrifice Beads that I'd created and it made me think that maybe a rosary made in that same fashion might actually do the trick. And, it did! Our children learned very quickly how to slide the bead every time they heard the word, "Amen." Why didn't I think of this years ago?
These sliding bead rosaries are a simply, tactile way for younger children to follow along with just a bit of instruction from mom or dad. These rosaries are also quite handy if you find you lose track of which bead you might be on. Maybe you have to set your rosary for a moment and when you come back, you've forgotten what bead you were on. Well, not any more! This rosary solves that problem!
The beads are made of plastic and strung on nylon cord. The cord is fused together where the rosary ends, so the knots will never come untied.
Ordering the rosary is very simple. You'll place the desired quantity in your shopping basket. Once you've completed your purchase, you may email me at rcrosaries@gmail.com or I'll email you, if I don't hear from you. From there, you can give me your choices.
1. White cord or black cord?
2. Bead colors? You may choose any color or color combination you'd like. I have classic colors, neon colors or pearlescent colors. Feel free to mix & match as your heart desires.
3. Crucifix choice. Please select a crucifix from the photos (l-r) as choice #1, #2, #3 or #4.
4. Patron saint medal. If you'd like a patron saint medal, please let me know that as well. There is a $2 fee for the medal.
